The Health Skill No One Talks About

Hey MBG Fam,

Lately, I’ve been thinking about something that’s easy to overlook:

We’ve lost our ability to listen to ourselves.

I’m not talking about journaling or self-reflection—I mean the kind of listening that used to be automatic. The deep knowing that told us when to rest, when to move, when something was off—even if we didn’t have a name for it.

Somewhere along the way, we started tuning it out.

We got louder—more distractions, more tech, more noise—and our internal signals got quieter. Now, instead of moving with the body, we push through pain, override the warning signs, and hope the next expert or product can fix it.

But what if the real issue isn’t just modern life—it’s that we stopped understanding our own language?

That’s why alignment training matters so much to us. It’s not just about holding shapes. It’s a way to reconnect—to feel the ground again, to rebuild trust between your nervous system and your structure.

When you realign the body, you don’t just feel stronger or more balanced—you get better at hearing yourself. And honestly? That might be the most important health skill we’ve lost.

If that resonates with you, start with our Beginner’s Sequence inside the MBG App.

It’s not a quick fix—it’s a reset. A way back to the signals that never stopped talking. We just need to get quiet enough to hear them again.

With you in this,
Jonny and Jessica Hinds

But let me be honest with you:Alignment is not just about posture. It’s not about looking symmetrical in a mirror or stacking your bones “just right.” Real alignment shows up everywhere. In your joints. In your emotions. In your relationships. In your habits, your breathing, your thoughts, your timing.Even in your sense of...
You did the work… so why don’t you feel better?
I’ve been thinking a lot about something lately: How can a body want to feel better…and still resist the very things that help it heal? We stretch, we breathe, we lift, we train—and in the moment, it feels good. The release. The power. The calm after. But then the next day? That tension creeps back in.That old pain resurfaces. That doubt shows up again in the form of fatigue or tightness or jus...
Is Muscle Mass the New Health Insurance?
Ten years ago, building muscle was mostly about aesthetics.Bigger arms. A tighter core. Looking good for summer. But in the past few years—especially since 2020—something changed.Muscle stopped being about vanity. And started becoming about survival. 😷 The Pandemic Was a Wake-Up Call For a long time, most of us could get away with ignoring the signals. The stiff low back. The shallow breathi...
